Drought and Fires: Qinghai Province, China, 2007
Formerly, this structure in the middle of Qinghai Lake, China's largest salt lake, was used by the Chinese Navy as a submarine station for training drills. In the past the building's base was submerged in water but over the past 30 years the lake's level has dropped 13 feet exposing its pilings.
